The days are going by much quicker. I can't believe it's one thirty already. I haven't gotten much of anything done today except tp ensure that the boys are fed and have clean tushies.

Speaking of which-- today is Joey's second full day in cloth diapers. I love the ease of the fuzzibuns but they make his butt huge. Probably because I'm stuffing them with CPFs. I love my Kissaluvs because they're SO DARN CUTE and really absorbant. Apparently, Joey is a heavy wetter or perhaps I'm not changing him frequently enough because he soaks the diapers. I don't like that I have to cover the cuteness of the Kissaluvs with the boring Prowrap covers I bought. I haven't attempted the CPF+Prowrap cover yet. I'm slightly intimidated by them.

Last night I made an emergency trip to the mall. It suddenly hit me yesterday afternoon that Sunday is Easter. I haven't given much thought to the baskets but I also forgot bunny pictures. It's Joey's first Easter, there have to be bunny pictures. So Steve met me at Freehold Raceway Mall. We had a food court dinner and as we were preparing to leave, Steve picked Andy up out of the high chair and noticed he was one inch from blowing out his diaper. So we cleaned him up and ran to the infant changing room where I realized I didn't have a single diaper for Andy in my diaper bag. So we sort of laid one of Joey's diapers in his pants and went to have a quick bunny pic taken before running home.

I felt like the world's worst mother.

I swear, I am going to post pictures.

I swear... if there was no such thing as LJ, I would never have known about diaper "blowouts". And that's sad because most of my RL friends are pg or have kids. Why don't people talk about this stuff in person? I could have had a kid not knowing important details! :)

That's SO weird you wrote the song you were listening to was Peabo Bryson. I just said those words last night for the first time in oh... like 15 years? Brent named this stuffed bunny my mom got me for Easter "P-Bo" because he's wearing a pink bow. And so I asked him where P-Bo was last night in bed. When he didn't hear me, I repeated, "P-Bo. Peabo Bryson!" :)

I think most women don't talk about diaper blowouts in person, especially to people who don't have kids, is because it's a pretty gross thing.

"Hey Lyd," insert big hug, "yeah, Andy pooped all over himself this morning and I had to clean him off, strip his bed and wash down the walls. There was crap everywhere!"

Now, I washed my hands, but how do you feel about that hug? :)

P-Bo: too cute.

I downloaded a bunch of 80s love song stuff and that song was in that group. Love it. I am so trapped in the 80s.

cloth dipes do make for big baby butts. if joey is indeed a heavy wetter you can try hemp inserts. i think i gave you a joey bunz, you would need at least 2 for a heavy wetter. stella was a heavy wetter and it was tough to use cloth on her because i had to change her almost every hour. nathan is a lot easier.

its totally sad when you have to cover up the cute cloth dipe with a cover. i found bumpy/imse vimse covers cute and not plasticky at all, so i didnt mind using those. im totally intimidated by prefolds, plus my kids are/were so wiggly i couldnt ever get them on tight enough to contain anything.

oh yeah, and joey may still be a bit small for the fuzzi bunz. as he grows into them they will appear trimmer. but he will still have a big butt compared to when he uses disposies. :)

I'm really enjoying the Fuzzibunz. I do have to change him pretty frequently but that's not so bad.

I think I have to start collecting the next size up though. When he wears the FBs one side snaps on the second set of snaps and the other on the 3rd. Don't know why one side is tighter than the other, but whatever.

Did I mention my little preemie king is up to 12 pounds?

sounds like he is growing well :)

medium FB are hard to find used. i was just browsing through a site looking for something else and found this:

which isnt a *huge* discount but still, for gently used mediums its decent. most people use mediums for months. stella wore them from 3mo to maybe 12 mo, then grew back into them as she got thinner. so they might be ones to buy new, since you will get a whole lot more use from them. if i see any deals ill let you know. :)
