Swirl. Tap. Buff.

I'm normally not an informercial person, (Ronco Rotisserie to the contrary!) but I have a new obsession: Bare Minerals make-up.

Oh my god this stuff is awesome.  I can't believe how well it works and how good it looks.  I am so used to the heavy, applied-with-a-spatula foundation that just sits on your skin and feels like concrete that wearing this stuff feels like wearing nothing at all.

Now I sound like an informercial!

I bought the "starter kit" at Ulta yesterday, kind of on a whim.  I came home, watched the included DVD and started to play with it.  I am completely awestruck.  I need more.  I need the eye shadows.  The lip gloss.  New brushes.  Funny, I have no where I have to go, but I want to look good when I get there!

OH MY GOD... the shadows and liner are FANTASTIC. They feel so good going on and don't get all goopy and clumpy. I also bought the double ended brush because it seemed like a better deal and it's awesome. I bought the bisque concealer and it's okay. It doesn't seem to work any better or worse at covering blemishes than a little extra foundation.

If you don't buy anything else, get the buzz latte lip gloss stuff. It smells SO GOOD and got rid of my dry, cracked lips in one day!

There is a BE store nearby but I haven't gone. I've seen lots of raves about the product on CC. I might give it a try. I haven't been really happy with liquid foundation.

I sooooo strongly recommend that you try it. It's totally different from regular makeup. I'm in love...

Kind of on a WHIM??!! Don't you mean that you've heard your twin Lyddy singing its praises for the last 2 months?! :)

I love it too. We have an actual BE store nearby (neener neener!) and they do a percentage off your entire purchase the month of your birthday so I'm waiting til' next week and then I'm going to buy more! :)

You were the inspiration but I was like "Should I buy more makeup? I have a ton... what if this looks like crap on me... so expensive... yadda yadda yadda.

The nearest store to me is in Pennsylvania (King of Prussia) but I have an Ulta ultra close and a few Sephoras. I may go out to the store (a two hour drive away) just to be able to deal with someone who knows the product well.

That's what I did and I'm super glad I did. I also feel like the stuff they carry is of better quality than the "kits". I don't know why... maybe cuz' the brush in my kit shed and the foundation didn't get good coverage. I'm seriously in LOVE with the Heavenly brush I bought at the store though. If you get anything else, this is a MUST! :)

forgot to ask...
What shade foundation are you? I'm thinking I might need to add a "light" to my "fairly light", just for the days when I want to look a tad darker.

Re: forgot to ask...
I'm using light and fairly light, depending on which I grab first. I don't really notice much of a difference between the two.
