Where has Juli been?

The weekend was uneventful except that this pregnancy is wearing me down more and more these days.

Friday night I went to the adult novelties party at my sister's house and spent a lot of time blushing profusely.  It was a lot of fun though.  ;) Even though my mom and aunt were present.

Saturday my sister came down and watched the kids for us while Steve and I started our car shopping.  We need a minivan because two adults, two car seats and one preteen will not fit in a Ford Focus.  We have no idea what model we want but we know that we have sort of a strict budget and that we'd like to be paying less than our current car payment.  Add to that our currently crappy credit (six months unemployed in the Bush economy will do that to you!) We went to five different dealerships looking at used minivans.  We are focused on 2001/2002s because we definitely want it to have the LATCH system.  There are several models that we haven't seen yet but we liked the Dodge Grand Caravan because it has significant storage in the back, even with the third row seating and the third row is split so we could seat Rachel there and pull out the other half of the seat to make room for the stroller or whatever other gear we're hauling around.  I am still annoyed at the salesman we dealt with at this one particular place.  There was no window sticker to indicate price-- it just said to ask the salesman.  So we asked and he said he "wouldn't bother" since we were unwilling to make a deal that day or to let him run a credit report on us.  Absolute bullshit.

Sunday Steve had to go into work for a little while.  I was supposed to go out for dinner in Manhattan with my friend, Chani, who was in NYC for work for a couple of days but after walking around looking at cars, I was tired and crampy.  I feel like a jerk but I cancelled.  Oh well.

Friends of mine here are wanting an Odyssey, but I keep hearing everyone talking about the Town & Country too. And then I go LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. Because if we have more kids, we are finding a station wagon (somehow). Not a minivan! :)

Darn this color scheme. Ebay is a link, if you can't tell.

I'm a little wary of buying a car on ebay without being able to see/drive it first.

Now, that argument is so 2003. Live in the now! j/k

But I'm planning to buy a 2001 car so it's chronologically appropriate.

No, because I don't think that eBay was selling cars then. Muahahah!

*circular-logics self to death*

I think they were... dunno. I should search ebay and see if there's any NJ minivans listed.
