Cat's out of the bag...

On the way home from work last night I stopped at Tar-zhay and bought a cute little stuffed bunny and a little bib in the appropriate color to wrap up for Steve to open when he got home from work (at 9 pm).  I made sure the paper was equally blue and pink, with both a pink and blue  ribbon on top.

He was all surprised to open it up and see a happy little blue bunny wearing a bib that said "Thank Heaven for Little Boys!"

That's right folks, Baby Ruffing is a little boy.  It's QUITE clear in the ultrasound.  I'll try to scan it today for all to see.  His name is going to be Joseph Steven and we're going to call him Joey.

In  non-baby news.  As soon as Steve got home last night and opened his present I dashed out the door to our local Emergency Medical Office for a killer earache that started during my commute home.  It was so bad I could barely drive.  I managed to get to the office before they closed and to the pharmacy to get my prescription for Amoxycillin filled.  They swore to me that it's safe for the baby and I have to admit, I need it desperately-- I just can't seem to kick this illness on my own.

Even after taking my first dose the earache was still unbearable.  I couldn't get to sleep until about 3 this morning.  Steve woke me up at quarter after six and here I am in the office.  Miserable.

Thank Goodness it's Friday!

The cool thing about the boys' names is that they're sorta kinda named after my parents: Andrea and Jose. Shhhhhhh- don't tell MIL!

It's just unfortunate that the names in Steve's family all suck. His parents are Gilbert & Virginia and his favorite grandmother's name was Gladys.
