Conscious Decision

I've read that if you decide to be happier, you will be. So here's a documented pledge to be more positive about life, in spite of the general suckitude of my situation at the moment. I have tons of reasons to be thankful.

I saw New Moon on Saturday night. I didn't see it at the right theater though. The room was full and Wayne and I ended up sitting in the first seats of the first row so the skewed angle kind of messed the perception up a little. Edward and Jacob looked like they had huuuuuge chins and necks. The crowd was not a Twilight-loving crowd either. They talked to the screen and laughed and cheered in all the wrong places. I need to see it again. Still-- LOVED it.

The next few weeks are busy. I love the holidays! Thanksgiving in Newark on Thursday. Wayne's parents are coming to our house on Friday. Saturday is Christmas tree picking and positioning. During the week, the kids will decorate it. Next Saturday is Nathan's birthday party at our house and then Sunday is the Polar Express train ride.!

The studies even say that practicing gratitude (like Friday 5s) improve the happiness of people who don't believe it will. !

I totally know what you mean when you're talking about being happier! There was something in the spiritual section of Oprah that just HIT ME. Plus I'm a self help addict :) I would love to get the persons book. Here is the link: http://www.oprah.com/slideshow/spirit/emotionalhealth/20091106-orig-karen-salmansohn-be-happy-dammit
