Yesterday, Wayne and I busted butt all day cleaning house and getting ready for an influx of my friends for a Creative Memories Scrapbooking party. All of the girls who came are seasoned scrappers so scrapping wasn't really new to them but the whole CM line was. Hell, it's pretty new to me. I've only ever really purchased their tools and stuff at crops and things rather than at parties.
As usual, I made an insane amount and variety of food: Cheesy Artichoke Squares, Teriyaki Meatballs, Chex Treats, a veggie platter, Cream Puffs and Chocolate, Cheese Souffle Puffs, Toritlla Chips with Guacamole and Queso. I made a pitcher of sangria, which was not as good as it usually is-- I used a different kind of wine. Shrug. oh well, I know better for next time.
We sat in the kitchen for Joanne's mini-demo and q&a, then I set up the tables in the living room and we scrapped for a little while. I was really happy with the whole event. Yay.
Things I am looking forward to purchasing when all is said and done:
- Picfolio Milestones Album in black- this is a nifty new CM thing that has 4x6 pockets that you essentially slide your photos, decorated mats and journaling into. Very cool
- A Picfolio Mini in Red and Pink
- The CM famous personal trimmer
I think all of my guests ordered the Sidekick, nifty cupholder beloved by scrappers everywhere. I already have one.
