What the weekend hath wrought

Busy, busy, busy-- that's me!

Friday we got up early and went to Jersey for the Ranger Ink warehouse sale and to hang with my madre.  At the sale, I picked up 13 pounds of craft supplies: ink pads, stamp cleaner, inks and glitter glue.  Everything at the sale was sold by the pound and it was $4 per pound.  I got:
94 bottles of glitter glue
43 jars of embossing powders and tinsel
19 large ink pads
24 small ink pads
36 re-inker bottles
3 stamp cleaners
3 walnut ink bottles
3 pkgs of sponges

I spent $52.  Wooo hoo.  I had a bottle of glitter glue in my scrap bag with a price tag of $1.90 on it.  When I bought it, I thought that was a good price.  By that rate, the glitter glue alone is worth $188!!!!

On the way to my parents' house from there, we stopped at the Lusty Lobster seafood store in Highlands, NJ, and bought 5 cull lobsters to bring for dinner.  They were tasty tasty.  I hadn't had lobster in quite a while. We drove home and got back a little after 10 and crashed.

Saturday I was up at 6 and drove for an hour to get to an all-day crop.  My friend, Stacy, shared a table with me and we both worked our butts off all day.  My goal was to finish my Disney album and I didn't quite make it but I came close.  I got 16 two-page layouts done.  Five to go to finish the book.  The place was in the middle of nowhere at a camp/retreat center.  It was scary as hell driving home at midnight.  Then I noticed that I was almost out of gas, my cell phone was dead and I thought I was lost.  Apparently, my sense of direction is better than I thought because I was going the right way.  Again, I crashed.

Yesterday the whole posse was at home, being crazy.  The kids were just insane, running around and cranky.  Lexi got in trouble for pulling the roman shade in her room completely off the wall.  I'm hoping that we can re-hang it.  Around 6 pm, Steve and Rachel arrived to pick up the boys and Wayne needed to leave to bring Lexi and Nathan back to their mom.  So it was a little bit of pandemonium for awhile, but the exchange was quick and everyone was out on the road.

Watched the newest episode of True Blood on HBO and I'm still loving it.  I'm going through a little Lost withdrawl.

I don't know that there are any plans for this evening.  I'd kinda like to play with all of my new craft toys.  I want to start getting card assortment packs together to mail out to you guys.  :)  We also have some gift certificates we bought from Restaurant.com, so I dunno.

It was an awesome sale. I'm really sorry I didn't get more stuff. I went through everything last night, sorting by color and I pulled out my take. I'm going to donate the rest for gift baskets for my mom's group all-day crop in April. We do a gift auction.

I love the crop because you're pretty much distraction free.

And the social side of it, working alongside other women - wow.
