Earlier in the day, I was sitting in the cafeteria/break room. It's weird here. The students were dismissed almost an hour ago but there was some kind of presentation that Wayne had to attend. I moved in here so I could read email and LJ and myspace.
Earlier in the day I was doing LSAT prep and playing Spider Solitaire because I couldn't get any kind of internet on the laptop.
The classroom smells like dry erase markers and ozone. The walls are bare, institutional gray and all of the computers and monitors are black. The only bursts of color in the room are the orange network cables that come down out of the ceiling.
I'm here because we're going to the York Fair tonight and rather than driving east to get me and then turning around and heading west again, I just came to work with him this morning. Other than having to get up WAY earlier than I normally do, it was a great plan. I am psyched for the fair and all of the horribly unhealthy goodies we'll get to eat. I haven't had anything except a bag of Sun Chips all day. I think I'm most looking forward to the batter fried veggies I had last year. I am salivating just thinking about them. I've been looking forward to this all year. Yippee!
The presentation that was supposed to take, at most, half an hour has been going on for 51 minutes now.
