Where is our tax refund going?

Wayne and I had been discussing what we wanted to do with our tax refunds while we were sitting outside the other night.  The boys were running around, running into the neighbor's yard, but essentially, they were bored.

So yesterday we shopped around online and then went out and bought this.

So now, Wayne and I are out in the yard, trying to sort out the 50 million pieces and start constructing this thing.  Wish us luck.  Photos to come.

It actually hasn't been too bad. Everything lines up the way it is supposed to and until this point, the directions were very easy to follow.

How fun on a summer surburban family night, though!

It's been pretty fun, actually. The boys go back to Steve tomorrow night, so we'll finish it before they get home on Wednesday night. They've been so excited to "help" build it (they use the socket wrench on the bolts and it makes noise but doesn't actually do anything) that I can't wait to actually watch them play. I still have to figure out where to order the mulch from that you're supposed to have around it for softness.

Where do you order an insane ass load of mulch? It's supposed to be 5" deep, 6 feet out from the tower.

I get mine from a place called Seattle Sawdust Supply - mulch like that is often sawdust mixed with compost. I'd look up Sawdust and Mulch in the yellow pages, and if no luch, call Home Depot & ask where to get a truckload. The places should deliver to your driveway - MUCH fun for the kids to "help" jump in it while you & Waybe wheelbarrow it back!

Do you have a landscaper nearby? I'm thinking they might have a bunch of the right stuff, maybe?
