Exalting the fallen

I am so bored with hearing/reading/seeing "news" about Anna Nicole Smith, her death, her baby and paternity issues, embalming blah blah.

The cannonization of celebrities who didn't do anything particularly good for the world except to exist and look pretty just absolutely digusts me.  Seriously, the woman was a trainwreck, as is evidenced by the mess she left behind, including a baby with three potential fathers.

So she was a pretty slut, who fought like hell for the fortune of the octogenarian she married in her 20s, she got fat and made a fool of herself on a cheesy reality show, got thin and made a fool of herself by appearing under the influence of something on a televised awards show and died unexpectedly, young, and with a will that excludes everyone except her son, who predeceased her.

And everyone in the world cares about this for some reason?

The media is talking about her nonstop?

Hello? There's a WAR going on?  We have a president doing everything he can to thwart the Constitution and our rights as citizens under it.

Frustrated. Frustrated. Frustrated.

I hear ya. I just don't know why people seem so surprised that she died. I wasn't and I wouldn't be surprised if it was suicide.

That being said, don't worry about hearing news on ANS, maybe the media and paparazzi will switch gears and yammer about Britney and her shaved head. [snark off]

Wow, it's not often I disagree with everything you post about. That's a change!

i honestly think the reason this is in the news so much is that the people as a general need a break from the war. Not saying ANS matters....she doesnt. But there is only so much politics a person can take before they need to laugh.
