Number 1 Reason I am an Idiot

I have not left the house in two days-- but that's not it.

When I went out on Wednesday I left the windows of the car open because it was hot.

It has since rained.  Several times.

We do not have a garage

Hence, I am an idiot.

You left them OPEN or cracked a tiny bit? I'm only asking because if you left them OPEN I'm just shocked there's a town in this country where you can leave your windows completely open and not have your car or stereo stolen within an hour!

All the way f*#$%^@ open. But we have a long, huge driveway that runs all the way up the side of the house and my car was at the top. If anyone came up the driveway to mess with the car, the light sensor would turn the outside light on and that would make Brownie bark like a maniac.

Would you be willing to take a picture looking out your front door sometime? I just want to be able to picture this. Sounds like a castle! :)

I wish!

Here's the deal on our tiny little house-- there used to be a lighthouse here.

Anyway, it was an oil-fueled light so they had this long asphalt driveway to pull the truck into to deliver the oil. That driveway is now the driveway of the house and the concrete pad that used to hold the oil tank is our patio.

The house doesn't have a basement because we're too near the bay, but holding our house up is the 4 concrete pilings that used to hold the steel frame of the light.

I will take pictures as soon as we have a sunnier day! It's been gray and miserable here for a week!

Whoa... are you serious?! Those pictures of THAT lighthouse is where your house now stands?! That is so cool!!! Oh my god, the history! I love things like that. In one of those last pictures I saw what looked to be a house. Is that YOUR house now or was that torn down. Wow, I'm seriously in awe. How far are you from the waters edge? Is it like in your backyard?
