Some days I need reminding...

... of why I decided to be a stay-at-home Mom.  Yesterday was one of them.

Andy was being really needy and clingy and didn't take a nap.  I thought that both of his speech therapists were coming to see him and neither one did.   Joey wouldn't be put down, didn't want to be in the Baby Bjorn either.

TMI but while pumping, my nipple cracked and started to gush blood so not only did I have to endure some serious pain, but I had to dump 2 ounces of milk. Grrrrr.  I completely ran out of diapers for Andy.  He was wearing the last one I had.

Steve called to say he had to work until 8.  Grrrrr.

Andy finally decided to nap around 4:30 and slept for two and a half hours, meaning he would be staying up late into the evening.  Rachel came home from school around 6 and was getting on my nerves.   I called my mom for some contact with someone more sane  and rational than I was.  She kept remining me I only had to hold on until 9, when Steve would be home.

At 9:06, Steve called to say he'd be home at 10.  I told him I'd meet him in the driveway because as soon as he got home, I was leaving.  I needed a break-- and a chance to go buy diapers.

Today is better.  Andy's therapist was here at 9:30 and she took him for a walk down to the duck pond so I had a chance to reconcile our checking accounts.  Andy is currently sleeping and I just fed Joey.  Tonight I'm meeting Steve at the Freehold Mall to get Easter Bunny pictures of the boys taken.  I totally forgot that Sunday is Easter.  I still have to get basket stuff together.

Yep, that's how my days were last week. Everyone is sick here this week, so it's sort of the same. But, I'm able to handle it better because I have an "excuse".

I hope this whole week goes better for you!

Yesterday and today have been better.

What's your excuse?

Oh, I meant that I'm able to handle the crabby kids better this week because I have something to blame the crabbiness on - them being sick. I need a reason for them being crabby - teething, growth spurt, etc., and I can brush it off. But if Aaron is just a crab for no reason - I just can't handle those days.

I'm glad it's gotten better.

At least one of your girls is older and a little more rational. Wait until like next year when you have an infant and a toddler. That's when the real fun begins.

(and there's Joey crying in the living room....)

Kaylea is a very big help to have around!! I am dreading once I have the baby and to deal with two small ones. I've never had to do that before! I can handle one (for the most part) but two scares me!

Your nipple CRACKED?! Ouch!!! What do you do to fix it? I mean, I would assume band-aids don't work. :( You poor thing!

Oh, and did I thank you yet for the adorable birthday card? If not, thank you SOOO much. I only got like 4 real cards so it meant even more to receive it. :)

Yeah, cracked. Ouch. I put lansinoh on it and that seems to have helped.

You're welcome!
