Second Time Mommies- Help!

I am having the hardest time nursing Joey. It seems like he's taking forever and there are always 100 interruptions- 80% of them from Andy. How did you do it?

i hate to say it, but lots and lots of tv. we watch a lot of tv. i nurse in the bed, stella sits with me, and we watch dvds, noggin, sprout, on demand, whatever. and i made mike take care of her a lot. luckily nathan is a power nurser, now he only nurses about 5 minutes at a time. but getting him to sleep is a pain because of stella making so much noise. so i employ the tv and mike to help me out.

Yes I did and they are sooooooo adorable. I haven't used any yet because I need to go to Target and buy a diaper pail... thank goodness too with the week we had! All of us had a nasty stomach virus.

I need Marisa to show me how to stuff the pocket diapers. And the Kissaluvs, those need to be worn with a cover, right?

what are you stuffing with?

yep, kissaluvs need a cover. i think i gave you a wool one, right? that just snaps over the kissaluv. then when he wets or poops, you take off both, put on a new dipe, throw the old one in the wash, and let the cover air out if it isnt sopping wet or poopy. you can reuse covers a lot before washing them, especially wool ones. i meant to throw in some small wool wash packets for the cover, i can try and send those along if you decide you like using it. i honestly dont wash wool often, when i use it a lot i wash maybe every month unless its poopy or smells funky.

I have CPFs that I was going to try to use as stuffing. I have a few doublers too.

So the tie dyed thing is a cover? I really like that one...

BTW, you do not need a diaper pail, specifically. We actually used a pail with a lid that kitty litter had originally come in. It worked great and wasn't as huge as a diaper pail so it wasn't too tough for me to lift.

I figured on using some kind of plastic bin with a lid. I think I have something in the attic that I can use.

My mom weaned my sis much earlier than she did me, because my sis was so distracted by me that she would not nurse. I am a bad monkey. But as for how she did it before the weaning, well, my mom is magic.

I am just thinking that if I make it to three months with Joey, it will be a miracle. I don't know how Nancy does it because it seems like as soon as Joey latches on, Andy is screaming about something else.
