Friday the 13th...

This week went pretty fast. It's been kinda slow at work. We're just starting to pick up after the holiday/New Year slow down. I've been entertaining myself, stupidly, by reading The Serial Killers Crime Library. It’s really healthy and wise for the mother of a small child to read about child molesters who cannibalize small kids and stuff like that. I’ve had such crazy nightmares over the past couple of days and yet, I keep going back to the site and reading more.

It’s Friday the 13th and my day is already going crappy. First Steve took my keys instead of his own this morning. Then as I was getting my coat on to leave with Andy (Rachel has the day off from school), he spilled fruit punch all down the front of his clothes. I grabbed a fresh outfit from his room and took him to daycare wet so they could change him. I drove to work through dense fog and traffic was kind of heavy. A few blocks from the office my gas light came on. I turned into the local branch of my bank to use the ATM to get gas money and some cash for breakfast and realized I left my wallet in the diaper bag we took out with us when we went to the Chinese Buffet for dinner last night. So no ID, no ATM card, no cash. I did have my checkbook with me but I didn't think the bank would cash my check without ID. So I did what most seven months pregnant women would do-- I cried. I stressed.

Then I called the bank and they said as long as I know my accoutn number- which I did since I had the checkbook with me-- I could use a withdrawl slip to get some cash. So I did and now I'm less worried.

You'll be fine! Glad your money thing was work-outable. That's like my biggest car fear, getting stuck with no gas and no money. I'm not afraid of flat tires or getting lost or driving alone--I still don't have a cell phone even--but that does scare me.

Speaking of crazy dreams, I dreamed last night that I was pregnant. With twin girls.

I'm glad I was able to get some money. Now I just have to make it home without a problem since I don't have my license. NJ just upped the cost of the ticket for driving without it.

Yikes. I can't imagine twins.

Me neither! Yeah, I constantly forget my wallet/license. Fortunately, in Florida, they don't pull you over. For, like, ANYTHING. EVER.

Really? What do the cops do all day?

Nothing, as far as I can tell. Oh, they sit around on the side of the highway but they don't pull people over for speeding unless they don't like the LOOK of you.

The cops do not investigate robbery, theft, assault, battery, or animal cruelty, either.

Forida sounds GREAT! ;) I haven't been pulled over in years but I have a feeling that with the way my luck has been going today, it will happen.

Now, stop that. :) Friday the 13th is only unlucky for people who hate Venus.

I have no praticularly strong feelings regarding Venus at all, as a planet, as a Goddess, as a flytrap.

Then there ought to be no difficulty.

Because some days do. I guarantee that some other Friday the 13th you'll have an awesome day.
