Short Fuse

I'm crampy and cranky and it's hot outside, so stay out of my way.

Andy is whining almost constantly.  Joey is asleep.  Steve took my car today so we're trapped at home again.

Took the kids to the sprayground yesterday.  That was fun.  I love to see Andy running around with a gigantic smile on his face.  I took some pictures and will post them later.

Diet is going well.  It helps that the recipes from eDiets actually taste good and don't require me to eat things like tofu or fish (if I don't wanna... and I don't).

I'm still trying to use up that package of turkey bacon so I can try another brand.  Maybe I should feed it to the kids.  They don't know any better!

I bought some new books the other day.  I had a gift card for B&N that was burning a hole in my pocket.  I got Los Angeles and Disneyworld for Dummies as sort of a motivation for my diet.  (Did I post here that I'm planning to reward myself with a trip when I hit my goal some time next year?)  Also got a book that just caught my eye as I walked past it called The Bitch Posse.  I haven't started reading it yet.  My sudoku obsession is threatening to take over my life.

redqueenmeg-- this new job of yours is seriously cutting down on my enjoyment of LJ and the number of comments I receive.  This sucks.  When are you going to start posting again?  Your husband doesn't provide nearly enough amusing Lennon anecdotes in his posts.

I sorry!

:)

I will try to get on each evening--it hasn't been my habit but since I tend to get in to work around 7:45 and don't leave till 5:45 or 6, and I'm running like a headless chicken the whole time, I think it's my only option!

Yeah yeah yeah...

I'm so happy for you to be out of that bug-infested, unappreciated, stupid-people-promoting, hell hole of a job. I hope you like the new place better.

Just wanted you to know that I missed you. :)

Diet: Stared to use a new product myself here (before you go WTF is she using diet pills, genetics caught up with my now size 16 ass) called NV (www.be-desired.com i think). No caffine and no ephedrine. Okay sounds good to me, that means no stupid jitters. Had Darryl read it over and declare it okay to try. Its supposed to make nails pretty, hair grow, skin look great, and loose weight. I figured one out of four and beat the spread. I started in June...so far down 9 lbs, i have nails that are NOT glued on, my hair always grew like a weed so who knows, and my skin is still yicky, but two out of four aint bad. Worth trying. Main ingreditent is green tea :)

Sorry for the hijack but the green tea is a GREAT thing! I've been meaning to tell you Jules (and all the other gals in the group) to try drinking iced or hot green tea (I do iced) It's an appetite suppressant I found (by accident! and you know that is NOT a good thing for me) but I love the taste of it and it's sooo healthy!

Hijack away :)
Excellent point, i actually noticed now that since i started on these, if i eat things that have alot of grease or non healthy it makes my tummy hurt. Also if you drink it iced, its even better. You body burns calories to bring the temp of a cold beverages up to body temp. But its enough to inspire me to make a pitcher of green tea for my fridge :)
Thanks :D

Smart girl! :) Most people don't know this! Of course it also works when done with ice cold water, but the added benefits of the green tea (antioxidants, etc.) just makes it great.

Be careful not to go OVERBOARD though... as with everything else, green tea should be drank in moderation. I used to take my iced green tea everywhere and quickly realized too much doesn't make the tummy feel great! :)

another tip...when you get that sweet craving...
popcorn...use weight watchers butter flavored spray and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on it. Very filling, yet not that many calories if you not doing atkins, much better then icecream or something :)

Sounds interesting. I've been taking green tea supplements when I remember to take them. I've tried drinking it and I just don't like the taste of it. Maybe it's something you have to get used to.

try using some honey in it. Honey is naturally fat free :)

LOL! And so true! Hey, maybe they'll like it! :)

I've been hearing A LOT about this Sudoku lately. What is it??

Sudoku is a logic game... most of the time there are numbers in the boxes, but it's not a math thing. You can do it with letters or symbols.

Anyway, there are 9 rows and 9 columns and 9 boxes of 9. You have to arrange the numbers so that 1-9 is in each row, column and box, but only once. I found it really hard at first, but now I zip through them. The easy ones at least.

Try it at www.websudoku.com
